AROPS was founded in 1971 by Mike Comer of the Old Johnians, St John’s School, Leatherhead.
Aim: To provide a friendly forum in which to exchange views, share experiences and ideas, between representatives of school alumni societies and school development offices to enhance the offering to both alumni and current pupils.
Membership: Open to representatives of any school alumni society and school development officers. One membership covers both the school and the alumni society. New members are always welcome. Meetings: AROPS organises a series of in-person Regional Network Meetings, hosted by member schools. These explore current issues and also allow members to discuss items concerning alumni engagement on an informal basis. Additionally there are ad hoc on-line events too. Please check website for latest details of events arops.org.uk.
Additionally there is an AGM in November followed by a dinner which any member may attend.
